Black

Whenever I have no idea what to wear I always revert back to all black everything. It is the easiest way to look chic with very little effort.

It is very rare to see me with my hair tied up. Unless I'm at Yoga and it is chucked up in a top not.  But if I'm feeling like a bit of a change a slick high pony is always my go to.

I have been searching for a pair of leather pants all season. However with my limited budget I couldn't afford the real thing. The next best thing was by American label Blank NYC. They do the best faux leather pants and for a ridiculously good price (Under $100 dollars).

Pajama Dressing

Who said pajamas were just for the bedroom? Pajama dressing has been a reoccurring trend over the last couple of seasons and is showing no signs of slowing down. And I am not complaining. Making pyjamas apart of my everyday wardrobe is one of my favourite trends. It is a great way to look relaxed but also dressed up.

I bought this silky pin stripped set in Zara last week and it is my new favourite piece in my wardrobe. Also by swapping my Senso slips ons for a pair of heels this outfit can move very easily from day to night.

Eat

One of my favourite things in the world is trying new restaurants.  Any one who knows me knows that pretty much all I talk or think about is food. Growing up on the Sunshine Coast something we were seriously lacking was good places to eat. Now that I live in Surry Hills I literally don't have enough time or space in my stomach to try all of the amazing restaurants. But I have definitely been trying!

I have made a little list of a few of my favourite places and dishes. If you are ever in Sydney I seriously recommend trying any one of these restaurants. My favourite dishes at these restaurants seem to have a bit of a seafood trend. I am not sure why... Perhaps because I never cook seafood at home so when I go out I feel the need to order it. There are definitely other options if you don't eat seafood. These are just a few restaurants that I have been to more than once and just can't wait to get back to...

TOKO - Surry Hills

My favourite Japanese restaurant in Sydney. The food is out of this world and is just down the road from my house. If you go to Toko you must try the chilli edamame, wagu beef gyoza, grilled scallops with pickled apple, tempura zucchini flowers filled with tofu and feta, shiitake mushroom skewers and the wagyu beef sirloin. And if you have any room left over, which of course I did, the dessert platter is incredible.

KINGSLEYS - Woolloomooloo Wharf

Kingsleys is on the lovely Wooloomoloo Wharf and the food is great.  Amazing Burrata Mozzarella Salad with Tuscan flat bread, tomato, basil and olives. Followed by the biggest Queensland mud crab wok fried with a hot sticky tomato, black bean and chilli sauce. If you are happy to wear a plastic bib in public definitely order the crab!

NORTH BONDI FISH

On a sunny afternoon you cannot go past North Bondi Fish. Sitting on the deck over looking the ocean makes the dining experience even better. You must try the grilled prawns, so simple but delicious. Also the salt and pepper calamari with chilli and shallots is the best I have had in a very long time. On this particular afternoon they had a special which was a mouth watering soft shell crab slider. Oh my god I can't stop thinking about it.

PAPI CHULO - Manley

Is in Manly and right on the wharf metres from the water. Inspired by America's Deep South this restaurant has everything from classic sloppy joes to yummy summer salads.  Here I had the Scallops and the Tennessee-style hot fish sandwich.. ridiculously good. Also the cocktail list is incredible. If you want to taste the best cookie you have ever had please order the warm chocolate chip cookie, vanilla malt ice-cream, butterscotch sauce, macadamia brittle. It will blow your mind.

Nautical

Striped long sleeve dress, cream fedora and North Bondi as the backdrop. The perfect outfit for the warm weather we had last week.

Stripes are a major part of my wardrobe and definitely my go-to when I can't decide what to wear. I found Isla Collective a few months ago and my collection of their basics is continually growing. This Byron based label creates amazing  everyday essentials at really affordable prices. From long sleeve dresses to denim baggies, I want it all. All their designs are made from 100% cotton which make them  feel incredible.   If you haven't already checked them out, you definitely should!

Lack of Color is another one of my favourite up and coming Australian labels. They make the best Fedora's. Here I am wearing the Montanna in Ivory Bone - I loved the creamy colour which makes it really easy to wear all year round.
